How Bluefox handles safety concerns in its AI assistant.

What Azul does

Azul is an AI assistant for using Bluefox. It is not a person, therapist, emergency service, or continuously monitored crisis line. Bluefox support may review chats for a limited period, but a person may not see a message when it arrives.

Self-harm response

When Azul detects an expression of possible suicide or self-harm, it provides an immediate response with crisis resources rather than continuing the usual product-help conversation. We use local phrase detection for clear disclosures and instructions for the AI model to recognize less explicit concerns. We also instruct it not to provide methods or encouragement for self-harm. Automated detection can miss or misread a message.

Get help now

If you might act soon or are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Outside the U.S., contact your local emergency number or crisis service. If possible, ask someone you trust to stay with you.
